Exhausted & Happy

I am so tired.

I know that these are words that any mom knows and says often. I am happily exhausted. I love every second of being a mom, and I absolutely adore my boys. I would happily give up sleep to spend time with my boys, and truth be told, most days I do. I start my days at 5:30 in the morning, and I end my day at around 2 am.
In between that time I feed and change the boys, commute to work, work all day, blog (which is a full time job) commute back home, run errands, cook, clean the kitchen, make homemade baby food, watch tv with my husband, play with my boys.... Oh! And don't forget about bath time and nursing too... How am I supposed to find any time for sleep in between all of that? The answer is, I don't. On top of all of my current activities, I need to find a squeeze in time to work out, my college classes are starting back up, I'm starting a podcast & vlog channel... So how do I do all this? Before the suggestion is made that my husband needs to help out more (as it often is), that man does an AMAZING job with the boys and helping me. He takes great care of our house. We have a small, cramped apartment and he is constantly trying to find new ways to organize our space to make it more comfortable for us and our twins (who are on the more and more everyday. He cooks most nights and cleans 90%of our apartment.

So, I am back to my original question, how to I find more time in the day without skimping on my sleep? As it is, I started this blog post a week ago!

Well, sadly there is just no way to find extra time, so I have to find better ways to manage what time I do have. I have found some great apps that can help simplify my blogging workflow. Rather than sit down everyday a post is supposed to be published and writing it, I am going to start getting more prepared. So for example, today I am setting up the whole weeks postings AND scheduling some of the social media postings I want to go out. That way, each day I really only have a few minutes worth of of work.

At home, I need to do the same. That comes from planning meals ahead of time, and getting whatever I need to do out of the way earlier. That way I have more down time to relax and spend with my family.

I have never been the most organized, so the trick is turning my plan into a reality and sticking with it. All I know is I can't keep getting only a couple hours of sleep. Something has to change. I feel good about this plan. Wish me luck!

If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times... I LOVE MY LIFE. I have a great husband and the best little baby dudes in the world! I have found that raising twins is not so different than a singleton, just a little bit louder (and a lot more fun!). I look forward to going through this journey together... SUPER MOMS UNITE!
