New Series: Shedding The Twins Baby Weight!

So I wanted to do a series where I discussed my journey to loose the baby weight I gained during my pregnancy. Every mom strives to get back to their pre-pregnancy weight. For me, it's more than that. I want to get back to a weight I was almost 5 years ago. I of course want to loose the weight so I look good, but also so I can feel good again. As I started gaining weight, my confidence began to slip. It's hard to look in the mirror and feel great hen your at a size you are not used to being. I would like to say that it's the pregnancy that caused my weight gain, but honesty, I am about 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. My weight gain started years ago.

When I met my husband I was about 130. Fast track to our wedding day 4 years later, I was about 170. The day we found out I was pregnant, 190. I have tried crash diets and different exercise programs, but nothing works for too long. Now I have the boys and I really do not want to be this big and unhealthy. I want to have energy and a positive aura around them at all times. I want to be healthier so I can live a long life with my boys. I also want them, and my husband to be proud of me. My family is my motivation.

So what now?

Well, after having the boys, my body is not quite the same. Almost all my weight exists in my stomach and I have very little strength in my core. I have found it hard to do many of the traditional exercises, like sit ups & crunches. I also have no cardio. I don't have the time to run and my elliptical is broken. I happened across a YouTube channel MomsIntoFitness. I absolutely LOVE it so far. It is perfect for postpartum mothers, and our unique needs. I am going to share one of the videos on this weeks Friday Favorites. I  am just starting on her 30 day postnatal slim down. I strongly suggest downloading her 30 day calendar.

So every 2 weeks I am going to post and up fat on my weight loss journey.....
Wish Me Luck Mommas!!
